Introduction

Honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat had announced CM’s Ten Point Prograrmme (Vanbandhu kalyan Yojana) which is aimed to improve the quality of employment opportunities along with social and civil infrastructure in the integrated Tribal Development Projects Areas. Among other goals, the programme aims to double the income of these areas by involving various stakeholders. Provide quality health facilities, housing and electricity to all, ensure quality drinking water, irrigation and road infrastructure and improve the urban habitations. For successful implementation of such an unprecedented Programme, it has been decided to create an autonomous society which can involve skilled professions to carry out some of the key tasks directly. Considering above all Government of Gujarat has been created Development Support Agency of Gujarat for Welfare and Development of Tribal Populations in Gujarat.
