| PROJECT OBJECTIVES | The Development Support Agency of Gujarat is planning to implement goat rearing scheme with the aim of increasing the income of the tribal herdsmen in the tribal areas of the state and raising their standard of living. The people in the tribal areas mainly live in the hilly and interior regions, The scheme aims to double the income of the tribal people living in such hilly areas with the help of Goat-Goat units to improve the living standards of the tribal people living in such hilly areas as fodder is not abundant as rain water is less collected in such a region. |
| ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA | The benefit of this scheme shall be given only to the women beneficiaries of the tribal age of majority, and the benefit shall be availed only once in lifetime. |
| ASSISATANCE UNDER THE SCHEME | To buy 10 goats and 1 goat
Rs. 45000/- assistance is provided. |
